I was so pleased when Jack and Sally booked me to photograph their Wotton House Wedding. It was a venue I had not worked at before but I had seen and heard some great things about it.
From the moment I first met them, on a cold winters day in Arundel, I was captivated by their sense of humour and fun, which became even more apparent during their pre-wedding shoot! Their wedding date flew around and it was a great wedding to begin my 2016 season. For a change the weather was dry and the rain which had been a feature of the past few weeks stayed away. I began photographing Sally at home with the girls and her parents, and they were all very relaxed and enjoying the morning. Sally was wearing a lovely last wedding gown by Ronald Joyce and gold Jimmy Choo shoes.
The boys met me at the Church of All Saints where the ceremony took place. They all looked fantastic in their blue suits, which I think are brilliant for guys to wear at weddings. The vicar at the church was great and allowed me to take photographs throughout the ceremony although as usual I did’t use flash which would be an intrusion on the service. Jack and Sally looked so happy as they exchanged their rings and promises and one of the highlights was a reading, which Sally had written for Jack.
After the ceremony we made our way to Wotton House for the reception and thanks to the weather I was able to take the group shots outside with the backdrop of the lovely gardens at the house. Within the gardens is a pillared temple, which was perfect for some couple shots before dinner.
One of the highlights of Wotton House is the Old library, which when the sun went down looked spectacular and with a little lighting magic, we took a few minutes for some shots after the speeches.
I had a great time photographing this wedding and if you are looking for a photographer for your Wotton House wedding I would love to discuss it with you.
