I have a very special wedding to share today. Barrie and Rita were married in November last year. The venue for the wedding was St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Chichester. For those of you who know me know that this is a very, very special place to me. Barrie was spending some time in the hospice and during his stay, he and Rita decided to get married.
I can not tell you what a special wedding this was. So much love and laughter was packed in to one small room. Barrie’s son in Australia was even able to join the celebrations thanks to the wonders of Skype. A wedding at the hospice is always celebrated by everyone and from the doctors to the housekeepers every stop was pulled out to ensure a wonderful occasion! (I think the housekeepers were finding confetti for quite some time!)
The bride and groom were wearing complementary silk pyjamas – I think this is the way forward, both stylish and comfortable! They had a lovely ceremony conducted but the wonderful Chichester Registrars including a reading written especially for the couple. I adored photographing this wedding, which showed just what love is all about.
