Olivia and Chris – Noah’s Ark Pub

I am going back to the end of May for todays blog post – the wedding of Olivia and Chris who were married at Our Lady of England Priory followed by a reception at the beautiful Noah’s Ark Pub in Lurgashall.  Here are a selection of images from their wedding day.

As usual I began the day with the girls at Olivia’s family home.  What a lovely, chilled out bride she was!  As Chris was getting ready at his parents home just around the corner I was also able to pop round and see the boys as they finished getting ready to head off to the church.  The ceremony was conduced by Father Charles Howell who was one of the most welcoming and accommodating ministers I have ever had the pleasure to work with.  The church is bright and spacious – a real treat for a wedding photographer!  Olivia’s nerves soon gave way to a beaming smile when the couple were declared husband and wife.

After the ceremony we all made our way pack to the Noah’s Ark Pub in Lurgashall, which is the quintessential village pub overlooking the green.  There was even a cricket match taking place when we arrived, it really doesn’t get much more British!  The pub is very special to Olivia and Chris as it is where they decided they would actually rather like to spend their lives together so it seemed appropriate that their celebrations also began there.  Henry and the team at the pub did a brilliant job of looking after everyone and producing a delicious meal.  The pub garden had been transformed with a marquee, which was beautifully decorated with forest green and white decorations on the tables and the incredible centrepiece of a cake made by a friend of the couple.

The evening entertainment was provided by the brilliant band ‘Teenage Kicks’.  I had a blast photographing this wedding and am delighted that Olivia and Chris are so pleased with their wedding photographs, I received an email from Olivia when they returned from their honeymoon to say “We had a look through the photos the other day and we absolutely love them literally tears of happiness looking through them! We could not be happier with them!”   If this is how you want to feel about your wedding photos, please do get in touch!
